SLIFER, A UNIQUELY INTERACTIVE

FIR FILTER DESIGN TOOL

DSP Creations Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of Version 3.7 of Slifer, a highly interactive MATLAB-based tool which makes FIR digital filter design easier than ever before. This package enables you to point and click your way to designs which meet those tough specifications which seem to elude the standard textbook approaches.

Slifer pulls you - and your intuition - into the design loop. Its single unified friendly graphic window allows you to easily shape your filter’s characteristics. No equations or calculations confront you - all design is done pictorially and intuitively. Smooth movements between time and frequency features allow nearly continuous refinement in both domains to deliver great performance while satisfying harsh coefficient budgets.

You can minimize errors at point frequencies or over bands that reveal their pliability as you slide frequency response points up and down at will, even moving these “gain guarantees” off the DFT grid points to arbitrary spectral locations. Whether your concern is nulling out interfering tones or sculpting curvaceous gain excursions, hand-crafting your filters has never been this painless.
